A miracle?

Ecce, ambulat supra mare

Behold, He walks upon the sea

Mama clicked the photo above just as our feet touched the surface of the water. There was the illusion that we were walking on the water. Dad soon linked the fact to a biblical tale. The quotation is in the Vulgate, which is the translation of the Bible into Latin, in Matthew 14: 22-33:
Quarta autem vigilia noctis venit ad eos ambulans supra mare.
In the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea.

Walking on water is one of the miracles attributed to Jesus. The story tells how Jesus helped the apostles who were on a drifting boat in the middle of a storm. In the dark, the disciples saw Jesus walking on the sea and were terrified, believing they were seeing a spirit, but Jesus asked them not to be afraid, which comforted them. He then calmed the storm and got into the boat, and they followed to the coast.
